This is a famous view of Diamond Head from Round Top Drive in Honolulu. I’ve painted this view numerous times now and never grow tired of the endless changing light and sky. Diamond Head has such a distinctive, strong solid profile, I enjoy describing the planes of it’s surface as the light renders them in subtle hues of violet and gold.
