Diamond Head during the Rainy Season, 6 x 8

Description

Usually when I’ve painted Diamond Head in the past it’s been during the dry heat of late Summer.  This day was unusual because of the amount of rain there had been and how green the slopes were.  I enjoyed using green and gold where there usually would be brown and gold.  The blue in the shadows was deep and intense because of the reflections from verdant foliage and sky.

This painting is sold unframed.
